"What are you doing Saturday?"

She was so absorbed reading manga (instead of doing her English homework like she was supposed to) that when the soft voice whispered in her ear, Tsukino Usagi nearly jumped out of her skin. With a high-pitched squeak, she flailed and fell off the bench, her books and purse falling from the bench and into the dirt. Slamming her head painfully into the ground, she wondered if coming to the park to "study" had been such a good idea after all.

"Mamo...chan..." she murmured to herself. Her blue eyes, unfocused, tried to make out on the dark-haired figure above her. "But you're in America..." Suddenly, she regained her sight and started to flail. "You're not Mamo-chan!" she squaked, pointing to the young man leaning over her.

Kou Seiya's eyebrows shot up into his hairline, and he put his hands on his hips, assuming a defensive posture. "That's some way to greet me after I've come all this way to see you," he huffed, looking wounded.

In a flash, Usagi was on her feet and in Seiya's face. "But what are you DOING here?" she cried, her hair akimbo and looking completely frazzled. A year ago, the Starlights had returned home. Things had returned to normal, hadn't they? "Oh God! We're not under attack again, are we? Chaos isn't back, is it? Is Kakyuu-san ok? OH MY GOD, IS EVERYONE ALL RIGHT?!?!" she wailed, going into a meltdown and falling into Seiya's arms.

Seiya didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She was just as spazztic as he remembered her to be. Apparently she'd forgotten about the treaty she and Kakyuu had forged, and the fact that one of the Kinmokuans would be coming to visit as a kind of embassador as often as possible. Before leaving, the trio had set up funds just for that occasion. (Being idols, they amassed a palitable fortune.) The first embassador, of course, had been Sailor Star Fighter, Leader of Kakyuu's Starlights.

Finding himself suddenly with an arm full of Odango, Seiya laughed and set her back on her feet. Oh, how he'd missed her... "It's ok, Odango," he said, rubbing her arms gently and trying to get her to calm down. "I'm only here for a visit. Nothing is wrong. You aren't under attack."

"Oh," she said simply, visibly relaxing. Then she smiled. "Welcome back!" Suddenly happy, she threw herself in his arms again, collecting a hug. His... wait what? Her head snapped up, nearly popping Seiya in the chin. "You're a boy!!!" she accused, quickly disentangling herself from him and blushing furiously.

Amused, the raven-haired Light couldn't help but smirk as Usagi smoothed down the skirt of her high school uniform self-consciously. "Currently, yes. The only people who can access the Threelights bank accounts are Kou Taiki, Kou Yaten, and Kou Seiya, remember?" With a sigh, he dropped his head into his hand and ran his fingers through his curly, blue-black locks.

Usagi put a finger to her cheek and thought. That sounded vaguely familiar. Oh well. Seiya was back! She couldn't help bouncing up and down in glee. The handsome singer had become a good friend of hers in the time the Kinmokuans stayed on Earth. She had missed him very much.

"So, what are you doing Saturday?" he asked again, bending over to pick up her books and presenting them to her with a flourish.

'Ever the scoundrel, Haruka would say' Usagi thought to herself, though she didn't quite remember what a scoundrel was. "Eto," she murmured, taking the books from him and cradling them to her chest. "Sleeping. And eating. And playing video games..."

A short bark of laughter escaped Seiya's lips. "Still? Isn't that what you told me last time I asked you out on a date?" The athletic young man's eyes twinkled with a merry light.

"Date-o? Date-o? Doko ne?" Flailing about, Usagi began to go into a fit again. "I can't go on a date with you! I have Mamo-chan, though he isn't here... and... and you're a wo--"

"Oh, come on, Odango," Seiya interrupted, before the whole gender issue came up. "It'll be fun. You had fun last time, right?" he asked, noting the little pink bear clipped to her purse as he bent to pick it up and return it to her. It had been a year. She still had that? As he arched an ebony eyebrow and handed the purse over, he saw Usagi turn pink and scuff her heel in the dirt.

"Well, yes, but..."

"Then it's a date! Meet me here at 10am tomorrow, and don't be late!" Giving her a quick wink, the former idol turned and walked off, only to hear Usagi screaching behind him.

"But I want to sleep iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!"

* * *

"Where IS he?" Usagi huffed, highly irritated. She paced back and forth in front of the bench she'd been sitting at yesterday in Ichi-no-Hashi Park. The warm spring breeze ruffled her long blonde hair and caused the pink sundress she was wearing to flair up slightly. In a pique of anger, she stamped her foot, then yelped as she inadvertantly slammed her foot onto a rock partially hidden in the dirt. Tears sprang into her eyes and she clunched her foot, wailing like a small child and hopping around. As she continued her little fit, she heard the unmistakeable sound of laughter.

"If you keep crying like that," Seiya called to her as he approached, "you won't be able to have fun." Then he started laughing again. He stopped a few paces away, slid his hands into the pockets of his jeans and regarded her over the top of his sunglasses.

Usagi's face screwed up and she stopped hopping around. "You're late!" she snapped, fixing Seiya with an angry glare.

The former idol held up his hands in mock-submission. "Gomen, gomen," he apologized, still smiling. "I was up late last night going through our assets. You know, bank statements," he explained, when he saw the completely lost look on her face. "I needed to make sure our trust fund was in order."

"Oh," Usagi murmured, not understanding what he was talking about, but getting the gyst that it was fairly important. "Well then, what do you want to do?"

Seiya shrugged. "Whatever you want to do," he replied noncommittally. "Just so long as we're together." Unsurprisingly, Usagi turned pink and glowered at him, causing the handsome young man to laugh.

"Well, since you put it that way," she murmured, a devious grin coming over her normally angelic face, "why don't we go shopping? Tee hee hee."

Seiya could have sworn he saw her sprout devil horns and a tail. "Shopping?" he asked dubiously, looking less than thrilled.

"Of course!" Usagi chirped happily, lunging forward and latching on to his arm. "You said anything I want, and I want to go shopping." She paused, giving Seiya the full effect of her best pouty face. When he continued to hesitate, she huffed and started tugging on his arm, effectively dragging him out of the park. "I want to go shopping. It'll be fun. Come on!"

Looking completely miserable, Seiya allowed himself to be pulled out of the park to the 10th Street shopping district.
Things had become peaceful on Earth after the Starlights left and the glitter was returned to the galaxy. A bit too peaceful. That peace is shattered as Kou Seiya returns and whisks Usagi off on another heart-pounding date!

Part one of (?). I have no idea. I'm not done writing it.

Sailor Moon and all the characters belong to Naoko Takeuchi and Toei (or however you spell it because I'm far too lazy to go look it up right now). I'm just borrowing them for my own twisted purposes. No characters were harmed in the making of this fiction, though a few egos might be bruised.

Enjoy!
